Friday Five: My Little Pony

Beginning life in 1981 as My Pretty Pony, the MLP franchise went on to conquer the world. Or the attentions of young girls and adult men, at any rate! I can't say I'm a fan of the modern reincarnation - where are the pastel colours?? - but G1 is a whole different matter.

Applejack always looks kind of shy. Or, you know, as shy as a plastic pony can look.

Rainbow hair and wings - what's not to love? :) I bought a Starshine for Marianna's nursery shelves when she was a baby.
